Online Registration started for Second Edition of Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz 2018-19 at www.bharatkojaniye.in

Test your knowledge about India! Register & Participate during 16 Oct to 20 November, 2018 in the Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz which is open to NRI, PIO, OCI and Foreign Nationals. Winners will get all expense paid 15-day trip to India.

With an aim to develop interest to know and understand India the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is organizing the second edition of ‘Bharat Ko Janiye’ (BKJ) quiz.

2. The online quiz is open for NRI, PIO/OCI and Foreign Nationals between the age of 15 and 35 years as on 1 January 2019 (born not before 01 January 1984 and not after 1 January 2004). Topics of the Quiz include – Indian Art, Indian Democracy, Economy, Geography, Personalities in Music and Dance, Science & Technology, Languages & Literature, Education, Tradition of Indian Crafts, Indian Cinema, and Renowned Personalities.

3. The entire quiz will be organized in 4 rounds. The first round of quiz will be executed by the High Commission of India (Mission). The second, third and fourth rounds will be executed by the MEA, New Delhi. In the first round there will be 30 questions which are to be answered in a single online session of 25 minutes. Mission will select the top three contenders from each category (NRI, PIO/OCI and Foreign National). The top three contenders/participants of the first round quiz competition from each category will be given medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) by the Mission and they will participate in the second round of quiz (online) to be conducted by the MEA in New Delhi. The third and fourth round (semi-final and final round) would be organized onsite in New Delhi.

4. Top 10 finalists in each category will be selected on the basis of marks secured in second round and they will be invited to participate in the third round (Semi-final) and fourth round (Final round) in New Delhi. All participants, who are invited for onsite round would attend the workshop in New Delhi and participate in the Bharat Ko Janiye Yatra, a 15 day tour of India including Lakshadweep. Government of India will bear international airfare and all expenses including hotel accommodation (4 Star Hotel on twin sharing basis), local transportation (by AC vehicle on twin sharing basis), boarding and lodging for Quiz participants during their stay in India, airport-hotel-airport transfer during arrival and departure from India.

5. Participants will visit Delhi, Agra and one State for familiarization. The main element of the visit could be:

1. Visit to a university, College or Institute
2. Visit to industries/visit to Village
3. A one-day orientation programme in Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi
4. Visit to places of historical, industrial, cultural and tourist importance
5. Interaction with senior officials, policy makers and opinion makers
6. Participation in Youth PBD at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

6. It is mandatory for the candidate to complete online registration at portal www.bharatkojaniye.in in order to participate in the online Quiz to be conducted by Mission. Participant is required to generate a unique user name and password by registering online at the portal. Eligible contestant can appear for the Quiz only once. The first round will be held during October 16 to till 20 November, 2018 when the site will remain open for the contestants.
