Life Certificate to Pensioners

The issue of ‘Life Certificate’ has NOT been outsourced to BLS International. The Life Certificate is issued directly by the High Commission.

The Pensioner wish to obtain a Life Certificate from the High Commission of India, Ottawa is required to visit High Commission (10 Springfield Road, Ottawa) after seeking prior appointment. Please send an email (cons.ottawa@mea.gov.in) seeking an appointment to visit High Commission for obtaining Life Certificate.

Please arrange the following documents for the issue of the Life Certificate :

(a) Passport

(b) PR Card/Visa (for Indian Passport holder)

(c) Pension Payment Order (PPO)

(d) OCI Card (If available)

(e) Address Proof (Driving Licence, Utility Bill - wifi, mobile, hydro, etc)

Please bring the above documents in Original, with photocopies.

On your visit to High Commission, please submit the ‘Form for issue of Life Certificate’ with copies of the above documents. The Form can be seen on the 2^nd page of this document. It can collected from the counter of the High Commission. After verification, Life Certificate will be issued and handed over.
