3rd STUDY INDIA PROGRAMME (SIP)

1. The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) has launched  the   3rd Study India Programme (SIP) to enable foreign citizens of Indian origin  in the age group 18-26 years to undergo a short term course of 4 weeks to familiarize them with the art, culture, heritage, history and social and economic development of India. The Programme will be organized from 22nd Decmber, 2014 - 14th  January, 2015 (tentative dates) in partnership with a   Institute of repute, Symbiosis centre for International Education(SCIE), Pune. There would be 30 participants in the programme. The participants would undergo a 3 week programme within the selected Institute with academic and cultural content and 01 week of field visits organized by the Institute.

5. Selected participants would be required to purchase air ticket for their journey from the country of residence to India and back, as per the schedule prescribed by the Ministry. Concerned Indian Mission/Post would reimburse 90% (ninety percent) of the total cost of air ticket (at lowest economy excursion fare) to the participants on successful completion of the programme by them.

6. Interested persons may send their application duly filled in the prescribed form as attachment by e-mail at information@hciottawa.ca by 25th November 2014 so that nominations reach the MOIA by 28.11.2014. A medical fitness certificate is to be attached to the application.  Candidate should also have medical insurance. The original application should be mailed to Information Wing, High Commission of India, 10 Springfield Road, Ottawa K1M 1C9. Nominations received in the MOIA after the prescribed last date would not be considered.
