Sub : Celebration of Constitution Day of India on 26th November 2020.

High Commission of India celebrated the 71st Constitution Day of India on 26th November 2020. Hon’ble President of India led the nation at 1100 hours Indian Standard Time in reading the Preamble of the Constitution. On this day, seventy one years back, the Constituent Assembly had adopted the Constitution of India which was implemented from 26th January 1950 when India became a Republic.


High Commissioner Mr. Ajay Bisaria led the reading of the Preamble by the officials of the Mission. He emphasized upon the importance of following, in letter and spirit, the noble ideals and basic principles laid down in the Preamble which is a brief introductory statement to the Indian Constitution outlining its aims and objectives.

The Preamble declares India to be a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular and Democratic Republic. The objectives stated by the Preamble are to secure Justice, Liberty, Equality to all citizens and promote Fraternity to maintain Unity and Integrity of the nation.
